James has worked in global leadership roles at some of the largest eDiscovery professional services firms in the world overseeing projects in the US, UK and European markets. In those roles James led teams of professionals in the collection, processing and review strategy of huge multi-lingual datasets drawn from thousands of custodians across the globe.

In his role as a founder and builder of UK operations for boutique cross-border litigation support companies, James has focused on adapting international approaches to eDiscovery to cater to the nuances of the UK market and the specific disclosure requirements under the courts of England and Wales.

Building on his many years of experience in the eDiscovery industry serving both regional clients and large multinational ones, James is adept at developing bespoke solutions for his corporate and law firm clients through the recognition that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Johnathan Armstrong

Jonathan Armstrong, Partner, Cordery 

Jonathan is an experienced lawyer based at Cordery in London with a concentration on compliance & technology. His practice includes advising multinational companies on risk and compliance across Europe. Jonathan has handled legal matters in more than 60 countries covering a wide range of compliance issues. Jonathan currently serves on the New York State Bar Association’s AI Task Force looking at the impact of AI on law and regulation. Jonathan is a co-author of LexisNexis’ definitive work on technology law, “Managing Risk: Technology & Communications”. Jo Joyce, Senior Counsel and Co-Head of Cyber Security, Taylor Wessing

Jo is Senior Counsel and an information rights specialist in Taylor Wessing’s Technology, IP and Information team. Jo co-leads Taylor Wessing’s UK and Ireland cyber security practice and she splits her time between London and Dublin. Jo has over a decade of experience advising on contentious and non-contentious data, IP and emerging technology matters. Jo works with clients of all sorts to develop data privacy and cyber security strategies. Jo has extensive experience of managing cybersecurity breaches and data and confidential information-focused litigation.

Much of Jo’s work involves explaining complex legal issues to groups of all ability levels; increasingly Jo’s work focuses on new technology, helping clients to embrace the opportunities and challenges of AI and other emerging technologies within a robust legal and ethical framework.
