Dana Grey, Director of Legal, Compliance and Ethics, Pension Protection Fund

Dana joined the Pension Protection Fund in 2009 and became Head of Legal in 2013. Prior to that Dana established and was head of the Operations Solutions team, responsible for process improvement, pensions technical support, high-profile/complex schemes and panel management. Dana led the establishment of the Compliance & Ethics function at the PPF and is now Director of Legal, Compliance & Ethics and the organisation’s Data Protection Officer. Dana is also Chair of the PPF’s Diversity and Inclusion Sponsorship Group. Before joining the PPF, Dana was a pensions lawyer in private practice at City firms including Mayer Brown and Taylor Wessing.

James Thurgood, Head of Legal, Metro Bank

As Head of Legal at Metro Bank PLC, James is responsible for the day to day running of the legal team, overseeing, identifying and dealing with the broad legal matters affecting Metro Bank. James has worked at Metro Bank for 5 years as part of a team that has grown from three to nine lawyers. Before that, James was Legal Counsel at Care UK; a private equity-backed healthcare business and began his career as a Commercial Litigator at private practice firm Shakespeare Martineau. James joined Metro Bank because of its dedication to customers and devotion to a great culture that pervade everything it does and which continue to be genuine points of difference in the banking sector. In his spare time, James enjoys walks with his wife and two daughters (1 and 3 years old), running and is a keen motorsport enthusiast (both watching and driving!)

Ann Doan, Head of Legal & Compliance, The Norinchukin Bank

Ann Doan is the Head of Legal and Compliance for the London Branch of Norinchukin Bank and is MLRO for the Branch. She is also currently the Foreign and Wholesale Banks representative on the UK Finance Economic Crime Product and Service Board and was previously co-Deputy Chair of the Financial Crime Advisory Panel of the Association of Foreign Banks. After working in a large international law firm for a number of years as a solicitor specialising in corporate finance and financial services regulation, Mrs Doan moved in-house and has led a number of legal and compliance departments across a range of UK and international financial services and banking groups.
