As Fieldfisher strengthens its position across Continental Europe and the UK, there’s a driving force nestled in the Midlands. Ranjit Dhindsa was appointed as Fieldfisher’s Birmingham office leader last year, adding the role to her already impressive list of management credentials. A board member since 2018 and the UK head of Fieldfisher’s employment, pensions, immigration and compliance group, Dhindsa gets involved in everything from office launches, improving collaboration and shaping strategy, to supporting clients on their inclusion and diversity efforts and maintaining her fee-earning practice.
On her mind next year will be Birmingham’s own growth story. A former member of local firm Hill Hofstetter, which was acquired by Fieldfisher in 2016, Dhindsa has seen the office transition from a regional shop to one with global ambitions. With the office now housing around 75 people, Dhindsa is hoping to double its headcount within the next five years. At the heart of that is her search for a new office building, taking the firm away from the Brummie outskirts and to the city centre. Better get searching.
